Would you please give me some advice??

I want to buy a Cricut or something like it.
They aren't cheap & I know nothing about them so....

Would someone out there in Blogland give me some advice??
What's the best one to use???
I'm not terriblly worried about the cost but don't want to overpay or get the wrong thing.
