What a fun idea!!!!!
I have 3 dogs & 2 cats, all have been rescued. This post is about one them, Ace.
Ace & Noggin
About 8 years ago, I worked for a veterinarian as her Practice Manager.
Ace was brought in by one of our customers. She had found him, almost dead, on her back steps.. He was about 6 months old. One of his eyes was stitched shut, he had BB holes all over his body and had been chewed up by some other dogs. We xrayed him & found his ribs were broken, his leg was broken, as well as being covered with large abrasions.
The lady left him at the clinic for us to care for or to put down.
The Dr. pumped him full of painkillers, & decided to see if he would heal.
He laid in his cage for months & eventually began to get better.
The dr was out of town one weekend, & I took the puppy home with me so he wouldn't be alone.
Well... that was the end of his hospital stay!
My husband fell in LOVE instantly & he has lived with us for the last 5 years!
We named him Ace, because of his one eye.
Ace with a new haircut posing by one of my signs!
We aren't sure what he is mixed with...maybe Yorkie & Jack Russell???
Whatever, he is a JOY & a sweet addition to our family!!
Thanks Debbie...this was so much fun!!
Hope you do it again!!!

He's adorable. I can't believe someone would shoot a dog. That's just sick! I'm glad he found a good home with you. BTW, my first time visiting here so I'll be checking out your barns. I love a good barn!

ReplyDeleteI cannot understand why people do horrible things like this to animals, its just sickening.
ReplyDeleteBut Ace is so lucky to have found his way to you, thank you for taking him in and caring for him when his previous owner obviously didnt.
Sounds likes Ace has the happy home he deserves! But I always have to wonder what in the world is wrong with someone who would mistreat an animal like that!? Good to know Ace's story has a happy ending with you :-)
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! What a strong and lucky little pup he is to find his forever home.
