Hi Everyone!
I haven't been here since February 11...WOW!
That's over a month since I last posted!!
I've been busier now than I ever was when I was working!
But, I'm enjoying my retirement so much!!!!!
I've spent lots of time in my workshop filling special orders, etc. for sign customers.
A friend of mine saw the above saying & asked if I could paint it on a wooden box for her.
I L.O.V.E. how it turned out!
Looks great with my flowers in it!
There are some other new projects in the works but I haven't gotten them quite finished.
I'll be sure to post them soon!
After cutting grass this AM, I baked a homemade cherry pie for tonight's dessert.
Can't wait to taste it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!!!
M-m-mm-m-mm-m-mm-m!!
This photo has me so EXCITED!!!
It's not open yet but this is the largest bloom (or almost a bloom) I have ever had on my lilac bush!
We don't have the best growing season for them here in GA.
I planted this bush 7 years ago & am finally getting a real bloom!!
Not a big deal to you folks in the Midwest & North but to this Iowa gal, now living in GA, it's a MIRACLE!!!
I can't wait to smell the fragrance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope the rain that's coming will wash some of the pollen out of our air!

ReplyDeletePopped over here from Sew Darn Crafty - your box made me laugh. I love it. So clever! I imagine your cherry pies is long gone! :) I made one last week too. Hope you're lilacs are in full bloom! I have one nice bush in the bunkhouse yard and I'm like a little kid when it blooms - I get so excited. Its a gamble growing anything here in NM with our wind.
